Anger Management Counseling

Anger is a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility. It is a natural response to perceived threats or a warning bell that tells you when something is wrong. The adrenaline that anger releases can increase muscle tension, heart rate, and blood pressure. Due to the emotions triggered such as sadness, disappointment or frustration it can cause, it is important to learn to manage this anger. Anger becomes a problem only when you don’t manage it in a healthy way.

Here at ACT, our staff, along with our partners will provide very solid and effective counseling that will give you the tools you need to help manage the range of emotions you may be experiencing due to your anger.

Many communities throughout the country have theft schools or theft classes which are conducted by well meaning community members and professionals. Interestingly, though theft is one of the most frequently committed crimes, little research has been done on the best intervention practices and most successful approaches.

Our counselors have been trained to provide you with programs that will identify the best way to help each individual. Call today to receive more information on this topic or to book your appointment.

Alcohol and Drug Evaluations (SASSI)

The SASSI is a self-report screening instrument for substance dependency. It is used to classify individuals as chemically dependent or as not chemically dependent. It is especially effective in identifying early-stage chemically dependent individuals who are either in denial or who are trying to conceal their chemical dependency. In addition to being used as a screening instrument, the SASSI also provides clinical insights into a respondent’s defensiveness, as well as other characteristics

Here at ACT, our counselors can use these evaluations along with other drug and alcohol education programs to assist an individual in this aspect of their life.
